BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT
How to prepare
A little preparation makes your first consultation far more productive — bring whatever you have; nothing is essential.
- Any previous scans or imaging reports (MRI, X-ray, CT)
- A list of current medications and doses
- Your GP or referral letter, if you have one
- Notes on when the pain started and what makes it better or worse
- Insurance pre-authorisation details, if using private medical insurance
- Comfortable clothing — a physical examination is usually part of the visit
